Located within a conservation area a contemporary glazed link connects the extension to the host dwelling. The front elevation facing the conservation area has a traditional form with brick detailing and sash window to replicate the Edwardian style. The extension becomes more contemporary on the rear elevation to create a simple, modernist aesthetic for open plan family living.

Wimbleball Lake campsite wash block, Exmoor National Park

Planning approval granted for a campsite wash block at Wimbleball Lake on behalf of the South West Lakes Trust. The design incorporate sustainable features such as a highly insulated timber frame, locally sourced cladding, a biomass boiler and solar thermal roof panels.

Extension to a former blacksmiths forge and stable, Exmoor National Park

The Granary, Cambridgeshire

The Granary is located within the village conservation area overlooking pasture fields.  The project was to convert the original barn and extend to create an office for estate management.

The barn conversion includes a contemporary extension to create an open plan with large window openings that  maximise views over the surrounding fields. Sustainable features include a sedum roof and air source heat pump.

Blakes Cottage, West Somerset

A replacement barn to create annexe accommodation to supplement the cottage. The ridge height of the roof was increased to provide additional headroom at first floor level. The design maintains the traditional barn form and incorporates a contemporary high level gable window to create views of the neighbouring cottage roofs with the Quantock Hills as a backdrop.

Thatched Cottage, Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)

Planning approval granted for a replacement dwelling located on a sensitive site in the Chiltern Hills. The approval raised the land value of the site by in excess of £200,000.

A grate II listed barn conversion to a one bedroom dwelling. A conservation strategy was taken to maintain the character of the barn. This involved working closely with the Conservation Officer to negotiate the various options whilst balacing this with a tight budget.
