A rear single storey extension to a mid-terraced cottage located in the medieval village of Dunster in Exmoor National Park.
The extension replaces a poorly constructed kitchen extension that related poorly to the original dwelling. The new extension wraps around the rear of the house to utilise a dark corner of the old patio area to provide a warm and airy garden room, kitchen and dining area.
The design includes a contemporary light well over the dining area. A large roof overhang clad on the underside with oak battens provides additional protection from the weather.
