NTAD wins conservation award

Delighted to win the Somerset Preservation Trusts William Stansell Historic Building Award 2021 for the renovation and extension of The Forge project in West Porlock.

The brief to provide a family home whilst respecting the location and exploiting the view has been realised by creative intervention with minimal impact on the historic setting. Beneficial use of the site is achieved with imaginative re-planning of the complex incorporating the key feature of extended living space at high level. The scheme demonstrates good attention to detail and a positive impact on the setting.
