Meadowsweet

Replacement dwelling in Exmoor National Park (currently under construction)

A replacement dwelling located in the picturesque Doone Valley on a site adjacent to the Badgworthy River and a cluster of historic and architecturally sensitive barns. The new dwelling is inspired by the neighbouring barns and incorporates small glimpse windows, curved stonework and oak framing within a traditional form to enhance its setting. Reclaimed natural slate roofing softens Meadowsweets appearance giving the building an instant weathered appearance. The new dwelling includes an air source heatpump, underfloor heating, enhanced thermal detailing and bespoke kitchen joinery.
